A urbex video from a abandoned factory in the Netherlands Some history: This factory complex originally consisted of two separate factories. The Future 1, built in 1900, and The Future II, dating back to 1908. Both buildings were designed by architect Pieter Geert Cremer for the Stichting Coöperatieve Strokartonfabriek. Until 1968, straw carton was produced here. After that, the complex was used for a long time to sell and upgrade machines. After that it was a long time abandoned. The factory between 2009 and 2011 has been reduced as much as possible in old state. In 2006, the complex was used by Paul Verhoeven to film part of his film Zwartboek. After the renovation in 2011, the property became abandoned again. In December 2016, the property got a new owner. He has written a contest to create a new plan for the old factory.
