Beautiful traditional Irish harp playing by Alannah Thornburgh in Dublin.

This is another field recording from my time in Ireland. The Mary Wallopers, in their infinite wisdom, dropped me off in a park on the outskirts of Dublin, to meet up with a friend of theirs while they took care of some important music-business. After witnessing the most beautiful sunset of my life there on accident, I headed into the grove to meet her. This friend, a talented harpist named Alannah Thornburgh, certainly delivered matching vibes to the beautiful surroundings. Anyone who happened to be wandering the park that day was in store for a mystical treat, like something from a fairytale, notes plucked floating freely through the forest. The best part about of Alannah, beyond the incredible musicianship, was definitely that she laughed at all my jokes, no matter how bad. Thanks for that. This performance is of two tunes, one a traditional song Bill the Weaver, and the other a more modern piece by composed by fiddle player Marie Fielding. Afterwards, the Mary Walloper's van broke down (reoccurring themes) and I spent a couple hours in that park, which were very much enjoyed. All in all, I would revisit.
