Final Fantasy IV Pixel Remaster Part 6: Beneath the Earth --- Sigurd Chronosecht Ch. 【CANVO】 Welcome and well met, dear Wayfarers. Sigurd Chronosecht here with Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster. Last time on Final Fantasy IV, Cecil and his companions made for Troia aboard the Enterprise. They sought to take the Earth Crystal to exchange it for Rosa's safe return. Left without any other option, the party made their way to the matriarchal kingdom. Upon arriving at Castle Troia, they found Edward bedridden as the physicians worked to help him heal from his injuries. The party also went to visit the Council of Clerics to warn them of Golbez's actions and for their aid with the Earth Crystal. It was then that they learned that a Dark Elf stole the crystal and went into the depths of the Magnetic Cavern. Though, they also noted the information gathered from town about the dangers of the cavern's strong magnetic fields as it would weigh down anything metallic. Adapting to the intel they received, Cecil had the party change up their arsenal towards anything that was not made of metal before entering the cave. Upon doing so, the party managed to reach the depths of the cavern and found the room that housed the crystal. The Dark Elf also stood by, waiting for them to arrive. Unwilling to part with the crystal, the Dark Elf began its assault and overwhelmed the party. Cecil and his companions found themselves close to the brink of death. Sensing this while back in Troia Castle, Edward staggered towards his harp as he began to play the tune from his harp. The Dual Harp that Cecil took with him began to resonate as the song dispelled the debilitating field that hindered the group. Cecil drew his sword once more with renewed vigor as he launched his counterattack. Thankfully, it was enough to slay the Dark Elf. With the crystal in hand, the party left the cavern and returned to Troia to check on Edward and to report to the Clerics. Thankful of Edward's actions, Tellah promised to avenge Anna for the both of them. Also, with the blessing of the Clerics of Troia, the party took the Crystal and faced the Red Wings for the negotiations. It was by this that they ended up in the Tower of Zot. Cecil led the way in their ascent of this strange tower and somehow found the Magus Sisters blocking their path. After besting the trio, they pushed further into the chamber and found Golbez and Kain waiting for them there. As Cecil handed over the crystal and demanded for Rosa's release, it was then that he knew the pair were up to no good. Golbez proceeded to take them down as a display of force. Tellah, however, saw this as a chance to exact revenge. Mustering his will, he went on to barrage the armored villain with his strongest spells. He chained one spell after another until he eventually brought forth his strongest spell: Meteor. Golbez staggered and found himself surprised by this display of power. Even though he also countered with attacks of his own, Tellah did not relent as he unleashed his fury with every fiber of his being. He was then forced to retreat. With Golbez gone, Tellah found himself exhausted and passed on. Meanwhile, Kain was knocked free from his mind control and found himself shouldering a burden of guilt upon what he did to Cecil. However, there was the matter of saving Rosa. The remaining trio, with Kain in tow, rushed forth to save the maiden, Cecil springing to action and freed her at the nick of time before the blade fell upon her. As both lovers were reunited, Kain found himself overwhelmed with guilt. Both Cecil and Rosa bade him to join their cause, forgiving his actions as they welcomed the disgraced Dragoon. However, the Archfiend of Wind, Barbariccia barred their path and fought the party. With Rosa assisting with defensive magics and Kain's aerial attacks, they were able to break past her pall of wind. Soon, the Archfiend fell. With her defeat, however, the tower began to collapse. Rosa thought quickly as she gathered her companions. In a flash, she cast the spell Teleport as it spirited their party away. Now, they are back home in Baron, inside Cecil's room as they convene for their next course of action. The crystals were all taken, but it was not all of them.
