The FMTR was developed hand-in-hand with Timmy Reyes, shaped and refined swell by swell over the past year with one clear goal: create a shorter, more performance-driven board that can handle steep, hollow, powerful surf without forcing the rider into a longer step-up. The outline features a more high-performance feel while still maintaining a fuller, user-friendly nose. This allows for confidence on late, steep drops while keeping enough volume under the chest to paddle into bigger days without sacrificing wave count. The rails have been lowered and refined compared to traditional mid-volume designs — not extreme, but tuned just enough to provide better bite, control, and hold in critical sections. This rail profile, combined with the pulled-in tail, keeps the board locked in on fast, hollow faces and prevents excess volume from getting in the way during hard turns or late takeoffs. The standard tail is a round tail, offering smooth rail-to-rail transitions and control at speed. For more powerful or hollow conditions, the FMTR can also be ordered with a round pin tail, pulling the outline in even further for added hold and precision. Designed with versatility in mind, the FMTR performs exceptionally well as a thruster, but Timmy also fine-tuned it to work surprisingly well as a twin + trailer, making it equally fun and fast on smaller days. This dual-fin personality allows the board to transition seamlessly from punchy beach breaks to lined-up point surf. Timmy typically rides the FMTR about 2 inches shorter than his standard shortboard, keeping it lively and responsive, but it can easily be sized up a few inches depending on wave size and personal preference. The FMTR is a performance-driven design built for surfers who want: A shorter board that paddles well in solid surf Control and hold on steep, hollow drops High-performance surfing without excess tail volume A board that adapts across a wide range of conditions From powerful wedges to lined-up points and even fun days when paired with alternative fin setups, the FMTR is a refined, modern performance board designed to push limits without compromise. **Fun Fact: Timmy Reyes doesn't leave home without it, its always in the truck!
