This model train layout is all about the TIMING

Pay close attention and you'll see that three trains share one particular portion of this G-scale model train layout! It takes perfect timing to keep them from crashing in to each other. Enjoy the sounds of the train horns and train whistle. Featured in this layout are three model trains from LGB: The Santa Fe Super Chief The White Pass freight train and a Rhaetian Railway steam train with a distinctive European train whistle. The RhB steam train is on the longest part of the layout, so the other two trains are able to do two laps in the time it takes the RhB train to do one. These model trains are powered by electricity delivered through the rails. They were all purchased from www.trainworld.com It's an expensive hobby! The track costs $7 per foot, each of the locomotives cost approximately $1000, the control system cost around $600, and some of the rail cars cost over $200 each. Rather than build a permanent layout like a lot of model train enthusiasts do, I like the fun of creating a unique new layout each time I set up my model trains. This layout existed for about five days on the patio in my back yard before I put it all away again. Next time I get the trains out, I'll come up with a different layout and will probably run different trains on it. What you see in this video is just three of the 21 G-scale locomotives in my collection.
