More interesting hi-fi industry news featuring a mix of valve amplification, high-end cables, headphone amplifiers and vinyl furniture. First up is Solen, the French manufacturer whose amplifiers are now distributed in the UK by Replay Audio Distribution. Designed and built in Grenoble, the range includes the CV40-EL84 valve amplifier delivering 40W via four EL84 valves, alongside the CV20-N, an 18W EL84-based amplifier featuring an in-house DAC and Solen’s Circlotron design. From Atlas Cables, the Hyper RCA R1 features two OCC copper conductors in a balanced design with a double-layer oxygen-free copper screen. Atlas also offers the Hyper RCA R1 Duo, designed to improve common-mode rejection and EMI performance. Next is the Sendy Audio Kylin DAC/Headphone Amplifier, housed in an aluminium chassis and featuring Class A headphone amplification alongside the ESS ES9038Q2M DAC chip. It includes three headphone outputs and automatic impedance detection. Finally, Burson Audio introduces two new Stellar Series models: the Conductor and the Soloist. The Conductor includes DAC, pre-amp and Class A headphone amplification with an ESS9039PRO DAC and Roon Ready support. The Soloist focuses on headphone amplification and pre-amp duties with independent channel balance control. Also featured is Norstone’s Stockholm vinyl furniture range, designed for turntable systems with ventilated electronics shelving and dedicated LP storage.
