Joey Perry, 22, was gunned down at Ian Deutch Memorial Park on July 5. Perry was shot four times from a fleeing vehicle carrying four suspects. The red Camaro was located that night at Lakeside RV Resort, but the suspects remain at large. They are described as three adults and one juvenile. Three of the suspects are residents of Pahrump, while the fourth has connections to Pahrump. Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the individuals. The adult suspects have been identified as 17 year old Anthony Aguilar, 18 year old Carlos Blakely, and 19 year old Fabian Ferrante. The juvenile’s name has not been released by the Nye County Sheriff’s Office. Brandon Port has been deemed to have not been involved following an interview with the Nye County Sheriff’s Office. A video circulating shows Perry actively fighting with an individual at the park. The fatal shooting occurred a short time later. Police were at the scene prior to the shooting and stated there was no fighting when they arrived. In the video, a person can be heard commenting that "There are literally cops right there too" and another person commenting, “They don't give a F**k anymore" It's unclear where the officers actually were located in proximity to the fight at that time. The shooting occurred during "Movie in the Park," a town-sponsored event held every Saturday night during the summer. Town officials have announced that "Movie in the Park" is now on hold until further notice. Nye County Sheriff Joe McGill and the victim's mother spoke during a morning press conference regarding the incident.
