In the 2021-2022 season, Senior, Chase Lowe, was a team captain of his Weddington High School basketball team in North Carolina. Coached by Gary Ellington, the team went 31-0, and won the North Carolina 4A state basketball championship. This was after going 18-0 in the prior season to win the 3A championship in 2020-2021. The team finished 2022 on a 49 game win streak. Chase led the team in most statistical categories, earning MVP honors in the championship game, his second year in a row with the honor. For the season, he averaged 17.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 2.6 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game.
