Artist Robert Baart

Robert Baart is a painter whose abstract work is informed by nature and the landscape. He was on on the painting faculty at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA for thirty-five years, retiring in 2009. His work is in the collection of the Rose Art Museum, Brandeis University, Waltham, MA; the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, Lincoln, MA; and numerous private and corporate collections in the U.S. and abroad. Today, Baart is a member of the Fenway Studios, a limited-equity cooperative that serves as both home and studio to Boston artists since its conception in 1905. The Studios maintain a rich history of housing many of Boston’s most prominent artists and teachers, a legacy that continues to this day.
