NO PATTERN How To Make a Reversible Jacket From an Old Quilt or Blanket

So creative, no pattern needed. In This tutorial we are going to create an one-of-a-kind reversible boho jacket, that I'm pretty sure you are going to want to live in. This beauty is a comfy oversized style, with wide sleeves, perfect to wear over those lovely batwing and flared sleeve tops. I will be using an old quilt (mine was five dollars from a church thrift store), but you can use a blanket, as well. With a few simple rows of stitching, we create the wonderful roomy shape. We then decorate with fabric appliques (like flowers and a kitten). We will also be making handmade hippy mushroom appliques from fabric scraps and mother of pearl buttons. This jacket will have bias tape binding, button and loop closures, roomy pockets and more...did I mention it's reversible?! Whether you sell your upcycles (like I did for many many years), or you just want your own wearable art, show stopping clothing, I'm sure you will have fun making this.
