Monsoon can have an effect on the skin. In the sense in cold weathers, what happens is skin becomes dry so lot of skin conditions where the skin is dry can get aggravated like for example dry eczema , psoriasis in all these conditions skin becomes dry in the cold weather so there can be an increase again. You can find skin problems where fungal infections are involved. Usually skin problems increase in the monsoon like impetigo , tinea cruris , tinea corporis can also increases during the monsoon weather. You may also find that auto immune problems like psoriasis, lichen planus and eczema, atopic dermatitis can increase in the cold weather or like in the monsoon seasons. This is what we commonly find in children.
