Woodturning - Myrtlewood w/ Inlay Bowl

Thought I’d try this pretty simple technique with a new product I’ve recently discovered: Chill P-Tec 8400 Wood Filler. It’s basically a fast-cure epoxy that feels a lot like wood when it’s cured (in about 20 minutes). This allowed me to cut some simple grooves in the bowl and fill them with the P-Tec. I used Walnut color and love the contrast it created. Other than that, it’s just basic wood turning with what I consider one of the most beautiful woods on the planet: Myrtlewood. I believe Myrtlewood is only found in Oregon. I picked up this small piece on a recent trip to the PNW. Thanks for watching, liking, commenting and subscribing!
