India's Coronavirus Crisis Worsens, Mumbai Faces Shortage Of Hospital Beds| Coronavirus Pandemic

India's active covid cases stand at 5,52,556 cases with 354 deaths in the last 24 hours. The country has reported over 50,000 cases for a week straight. With a rapid increase in Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra, and the consequent inadequacy of hospital beds and other health facilities, the state government is considering imposing a second complete lockdown in the next few days on the recommendation of the state Covid-19 task force. Speaking to India Today's Rajdeep Sardesai, BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal answered the question - Is Mumbai heading towards another lockdown?
