Part 2 Baling, Kedah Trip: Hot Springs, Lunch in the River, SSK Brother Durian Farm, Lubuk Pedati!

After leaving Lunas we arrived at Baling, and in Part 1 we visited the bats in The Guan Yin Temple. Since we had time we decided to stop by Lubuk Pedati and cross the famous suspension bridge across the river. It was a challenging walk across the swinging bridge! Then we decided to go to Baling Town for some supplies like drinking water etc. and were pleased to find out that there was a bazaar in the town, a sort of farmer's market where all sorts of fruits and produce were being sold. After getting the supplies we had lunch at Rimba Cafe at Ulu Legong, a very unique spot where you can have your meal in the river! Very nice Malay Kampung cuisine served, ambience was very nice with the cold water against the hot sun. We checked in to our chalet at Ulu Legong Hot Springs Resort, but we had an hour to spare, so we decided to hunt for some durians we had seen on our way to the resort. We were lucky to find SSK Brother Enterprise, a durian and vegetable plantation just a few kilometers from our stay. We had a few durians to try as we had just had lunch an hour ago. Luckily the fruits there were pretty good quality and we enjoyed the D2 and Musang King varieties. We proceeded to check into our chalets around 3pm!
