This record was made by some unknown spectator. "A Life for the Tsar" is a first national Russian opera written by the famous Russian composer Mikail Ivanovich Glinka. The story is about the event which took place in 1612 in Russia when the Polish army tried to capture Moscow city. Ivan Susanin in the opera is a Russian peasant and patriotic hero of the 17th century who saves his motherland by his brave actions.
