Indications: Anemia of chonic renal failure Anemia of patients with acquired immuno-deficiency syndrome Anemia associated with cancer chemotherapy. Dosage: Initially 25-50 iu/kg body weight lover 1-2 minutes, 3 times per week. Dose increases in steps of 25 iu/kg, in intervals of 4 weeks, depending upon initial response. Maintain dose dose weekly: 100-300 iu/kg in 2-3 injections. Contra-indications: Uncontrolled hypertension hypersens to mammalian cell producs and hypersens to human albumin. Special precautions: Chronic renal failure IHD Hypertension Pregnancy Seizures Liver dysfunction Lactation Side-effects: Headache Confusion Generalised Seizures Thrombosis Hypertension Myalgia Arthralgia Flu like syndrome Rashes and urticaria.
