Beginners hand embroidery. Follow me as I learn how to do the art of hand embroidery, and invite you to learn with me. Today, we'll learn the chain stitch, straight and back stitch, stem stitch. Note: Since recording this video, it has come to my attention, that the backstitch is incorrect, and should NOT have any gaps between the stitches. Place your needle in the same hole as the end of your last stitch, leaving no gaps. I apologize, but this is a "Learn with Me" series, and I am still learning too. :) This is the beginning of a hand embroidery journey that I hope you will follow along with. I currently use machine embroidery in my crafts, but have recently become very interested and hand embroidery, so I picked up a few beginner embroidery books and started learning the basic stitches.
