How Troy hand builds a lace ceramic plate using a doily as the pattern: After rolling out a slab of clay, Troy lays down a doily in the center and makes sure all of the points are evenly placed. Then he takes a rolling pin and evenly rolls it out over the doily pattern to make the indentations. He lifts the doily showing the beautiful pattern underneath. Then he places a GR Pottery From on the clay, and uses a larger board on top to flip the plate. After flipping, he cleans up the bottom and the sides. Then he glazed and fires his new lace pottery bowl!
