We are taking an in-depth look at the Maxus eDeliver3. Electric vans are something we really want to work well. But the truth is, we haven't yet seen one that's got our attention for a good reason. Until now... We think this could be the best electric van on the market right now, watch the video and you'll see why... If you’re interested in an electric van yourself, feel free to give us a call and we can answer your questions. Call Us 0333 015 4001 www.vanzone.co.uk | sales@vanzone.co.uk Shape The eDeliver 3 is quite a square van. A little shorter and slightly taller than most normal mid-sized models, it can hold quite a lot in its 4.8m3 or 6.3m3 rear. With a total vehicle height of 1,895mm, the eDeliver 3 can fit in many height-restricted car parks, whilst giving you 1,230mm height in the loadspace. Size The eDeliver 3 gives you the option of two different wheelbases, and on top of that, the choice of two different battery sizes (you can mix and match). First choose one of two different wheelbase size options: The Short wheelbase option (SWB): 2,910mm The Large wheelbase option (LWB): 3,285mm And then choose one of two battery sizes: The smaller battery: 35kWh The Larger battery: 52.5kWh Loadspace Dimensions For the small wheelbase: 2,180mm front to back 1,230mm height 1,665mm width 1,220mm between the wheel arches For the large wheelbase: 2,770mm front to back 1,230mm height 1,665mm width 1,220mm between the wheel arches Power Power is courtesy of a single 90kW motor with 255Nm of torque. It’s capable of 0-62mph in just 11 seconds, but it's said to feel quicker than that. SWB Payload The two battery options mean payloads vary slightly between the models – the short wheelbase with the smaller battery pack can move 865kg, but with the larger battery pack can move 905kg. This seems strange as a larger battery is heavier. A larger battery does mean that the van will travel further on one charge, but it should mean less payload can be carried. However, with the small wheelbase and larger battery pack Maxus has intelligently uprated the gross vehicle weight (GVW) of the higher-capacity battery van from 2,310kg to 2,460kg (MEANING) although the battery is heavier, it can carry more. LWB Payload The payload differences also apply to the long-wheelbase model, which has a 1,020kg payload for the small battery pack and a 990kg payload for the larger one. Again, a larger battery means that the van will travel further on one charge. But, even with Maxus having uprated the gross vehicle weight (GVW) of the higher-capacity battery on this larger wheelbase van it does mean less payload can be carried. Charging Charging the batteries can be done via AC or DC currents of up to 50kW, and the literature says a 45-minute charge will restore 80% battery life to both battery sizes – meaning if you own a fast-charging station you should be able to get off on your journey in less than an hour. The van does have a sizeable range and this is what is impressing us over other electric vans on the market. Maxus states, the SWB model with the large battery pack has a 151-mile range, whereas the LWB equivalent claims a 141-mile range. The smaller battery pack, however, still has a range of 99 miles and 95 miles for the short and long-wheelbase vans respectively. What's Important Whatever option you go with on the Maxus eDeliver 3, you will get some useable payloads out of these vans. And, with how these vans have been built from the ground up for electricity, you can get good mileage from a single charge. SWB with the large battery pack: 151-mile range. LWB with the large battery pack: 141-mile range. Note: The Larger wheelbase is not in production until later in the year. #Maxus #eDeliver3 #electricvan #vanlife #smallbusiness #shoponline #vanzone #vanzoneuk #vanreview #van #review
