Is the Canon V10 a useful camera? Let me give you 4 big advantages and also 4 major drawbacks. I have mixed feelings about it, so here we go: Advantage #1: 4K video at 30 fps, paired with Canon’s color science and a 1-inch sensor, delivers beautiful results. Advantage #2: Its vertical shape and tilting screen let you see yourself. Plus, it makes you more incognito on the streets. People think you're just holding a phone. Advantage #3: The built-in stand is strong, well-built, and super convenient. You can place the camera just about anywhere without needing a tripod. Advantage #4: The built-in microphones are surprisingly good. Honestly, I wish more cameras had mics like these. Now the downsides: Downside #1: The 20mm fixed lens. It’s decently sharp, with a 5cm minimum focus distance and little distortion, but the f/2.8 aperture struggles in low light, especially on a 1-inch sensor. Downside #2: The screen is too small. Yes, it’s touch-sensitive, which helps, but being horizontal and squeezed on a vertical body means you can sometimes barely see what you’re doing. Downside #3: The battery isn’t removable. It has decent stamina, but if you’re out shooting all day, swappable batteries would have been a huge plus. Downside #4: No RAW photo support, only JPEGs. That’s one of the biggest frustrations, especially for photographers. Final thoughts: The Canon V10 is an interesting little camera. Personally, I prefer regular mirrorless cameras for vlogging since you get more flexibility. But for some people, this compact form factor is a real win. Subscribe for more camera videos
