McCall's pattern review of M7967 and M6996 11-1-22

Our challenge this week was to use any McCall's pattern we wanted. We both went with easy. Sometimes that's just what you need to do! Dee made McCall's 6996 view B. Her fabric was ordered from Fabric Mart Fabrics. She thought it didn't look so good and at first wasn't sure what she was going to do with it. But what she made out of it works! The toppper has 2" of gathering up the back of the neckline and a 1/2 peplum bottom which both ass cute details to it. Dee added bias tape around the edging instead of rolling it over for a hem, but isn't sure that was such a good idea. Dory also made something out of a knit. Her knit she purchased at fabric.com, which has said it's closing it's webstore and going to be only available on Amazon now. At any rate, Dory got her fabric at $2.11 a yard with the intent on making a swimsuit, which she forgot she was going to do and made McCall's 7967 out of it. Lesson learned, write down what you are going to use your fabric for!! The fabric was so easy to work with and so was the pattern. Easy enough for beginners. Dory made 3/8" seams to assure the dress would fit her, as her measurements are between sizes. We hope you enjoyed our McCall's makes. Nate was quite the distraction this week. Thanks for watching.
