With your help, Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust can permanently protect and restore 87.65ha of rare grassland near Hawthorpe, along the banks of the East Glen River. This land sits within one of the county’s most nature-depleted landscapes, surrounded by intensive farmland. It is already home to skylark, yellowhammer, pollinators and native wildflowers — but years of agricultural pressure have driven decline. By buying this land, we can protect it in perpetuity. With your support, we will restore it through low-intensity grazing and nature-friendly management — boosting biodiversity, supporting pollinators, improving soil health, storing carbon, and building resilience to climate change. Together we can secure a new nature reserve for wildlife, for climate, and for future generations.
