In this quick maintenance video we go thru how to replace a cracked serpentine belt (aka drive belt) on the GM Ecotec 2.2L engine. The approach we employ in this video is to extract the drive belt from below, so no need to remove the wheel or wheel well trim. The vehicle illustrated is a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier. But this procedure will be the same for any Chevy Cavalier or Pontiac Sunfire in the years this video covers. Additionally, the ACDelco serpentine belt part number will be the same for any of the following GM cars (both Delta Body platform and J-Body platform models) and model years that use the same 2.2L Ecotec engine: 2002 - 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier 2002 - 2005 Pontiac Sunfire 2002 - 2007 Saturn Vue 2003 - 2005 Saturn Ion 2005 - 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt (SS only after 2007) 2005 - 2006 Pontiac G5 2006 - 2006 Chevrolet HHR (SS only after 2007) The eBay and Amazon search links below are paid links, for which I may be compensated and earn a commission, if you choose to buy the parts and tools shown in this video thru them: ACDelco GM 12634320 serpentine belt WITH Air conditioning: https://ebay.us/86QGAW or https://amzn.to/3QCHRa3 ACDelco GM 12634322 serpentine belt WITHOUT Air conditioning: https://ebay.us/eb27IL or https://amzn.to/3aZhVFN And if I've saved you some $$ here, consider some coins for the coffee tip-jar! https://ko-fi.com/drshock 2002 2003 2004 2005 Chapters: 0:00 - Procedure overview 0:40 - Loosening the passenger side wheel well liner 2:21 - Removing the old drive belt 3:10 - Inspecting the old drive belt 3:30 - Replacement part number 3:46 - Installing the new belt 6:16 - Drive belt alignment visual test #drshock #cavalier #sunfire Disclaimer: DrShock, the alias for the human content creator for this YouTube channel, is not responsible for any damages, injuries, losses, or liabilities associated with any repairs, upgrades, or maintenance performed on yours, or any other, vehicle whatsoever.
