Many ISPs are now using CG-NAT / Large-Scale NAT / NAT444 as a means of using their diminishing supplies of IPv4 addresses and sharing them among their subscribers. CG-NAT although an attractive solution for ensuring all users can have a basic internet connection - But, with CG-NAT it means you will be unable to access your home network externally - For instance, in being able to access your NAS or your security cameras or host a game with your friends. Though, if your provider is implementing CG-NAT as well as IPv6 then this is probably a good thing as you'll be getting a publicly accessible IPv6 address - which is the way of the future.
