Turkish-made Impression Cymbals made a big splash at its very first NAMM Show, exhibiting a full display teeming with the company’s various cymbal lines. Among the new models was the 22" Mixed Ride, an all-purpose cymbal with a fully lathed underside and unlathed playing surface, which provides both high- and low-voived stick response. We also demoed the new Dry Jazz ride, which provides lots of wash while retaining a very articulate ride response. Impression also introduced three new splashes to the new Illuminati Series in 6", 8" and 10" sizes, which are partly lathed and partly polished, as well as a couple new sizes in the paper-thin Trash splash line, which explode with a glassy China-like attack.
