Step 2: In your resting hand, lay the cluster of hair evenly over your index finger (above the top knuckle). In your operating hand, grab the 1.9mm crochet hook. Step 3: Starting from the elastic band, with the crochet needle grab hair (about 10-13 strands) off your index finger and pull the hair group through the net one inch, closing the latch as you pull. Step 4: Slide the crochet hook up, moving the looped hair down. This action will open the latch again. Step 5: Smooth out hair group, making sure you have all the strands together and hold firmly about two inches away from the net. Step 6: Hook the hair on the left side of the diamond-shape net with the needle and pull so the looped hair on the crochet hook, slides up, closes the latch, and slides onto the hair group. Step 7: Release your grip on the hair and grab hold of the loop that you have just made at the net. Step 8: Push the crochet needle up so the hair slide down the metal shaft of the crochet needle, gently pull the reminding hair through the loop. Step 9: Repeat steps 1- 8 for every other diagonal side that makes up the diamond shape until you have made 16 crochet groups (4 across and 4 down). Make sure to skip every other diamond and every other row. Step 10: Divide the 16 groups evenly in half (4 up and 4 down) and twist neatly, making sure not to mix the strands from one side to the other. Step 11: Continue 2-3 rows up around the entire cap Step 12: Curl the ends __________________________________________________________ STEPS TO APPLYING "BABY HAIRS" TO A CROCHET WIG Step 1: Begin with elastic band folded under the wig cap Step 2: Grab a cluster of hair and cut in half. Fold and cut in half again. Step 3: Lay curled cluster of hair evenly over the index finger of your resting hand. Step 4: Using the 1.3mm crochet needle, with the operating hand, face the hook of the needle upward with latch down and allow the hook to go under the elastic band and through the fabric. Note* it may not go through easily, so hold the elastic band as you push the needle through. Step 5: With the cluster of hair in one hand, use the crochet needle to grab about 5-7 strands of hair, making sure to hold back the rest of the hair strands with your thumb, then pull hair 1 inch through the net closing the latch. Step 6: Slid the looped hair onto the metal shaft of the needle, opening the latch again. Step 7: Holding the needle in one hand and the hair in the other. Hook the hair again with the needle and gently pull hair through completely.
