HEADLINE: Tarzana: Heroic LAFD Firefighters Brave Flames to Rescue Family Cat, Reuniting It with Panicked Homeowner. CAPTION: When LAFD arrived on scene, they found fire through the roof of the home and a very distraught homeowner, frantically shouting that his cat was trapped inside. About 5 mins later after entering the home that was charged with smoke a firefighter emerged cradling the cat in their arms. The homeowner fell to his knees with the cat as a neighbor brought over a plate of water for it. The owner left the scene with the cat to take it to a local 24 hour vet to get it checked out. 38 FFs knocked down the fire in 19 minutes according to an LAFD tweet. The 14 year old cat is doing well after being taken to a local emergency veterinarian center.
