PLACES TO VISIT IN LAS VEGAS: We discovered a HIDDEN GEM IN LAS VEGAS that we wanted to share with you. It's called "The Wheel of Misfortune". It is actually located in Henderson, NV. Its off of Lake Mead by Lake Las Vegas. It is right behind the Lakes Plaza where the Boat & RV storage is. You will have to park on the side of the road and take a 2 minute walk to get to the site. The Wheel of Misfortune was created in 2012 by resistant artist, Aware. There is nothing good on the wheel of misfortune, obviously. In place of money there is ALL ZEROS. In place of prizes there is "Lose your Home", "Lose your Job", "Bankruptcy". Interestingly enough- this was created during the Las Vegas Market crash. So I'm sure this is a political statement on the corruptness that happened to cause this. What do you think? The site is actually an abandoned mine known as "The Three Kids Mine". There are numerous "thickening pits" out there which look like wheels. Artist have adorned all these 5 wheels with graffiti everywhere. It is a pretty amazing sight to see and definitely worth checking out. I would wear some good shoes as there is rocks & debris around the area.
