Wolf 359: The Massacre Part 2 (TEASER)

This is the opening segment to the LONG awaited Wolf 359: The Massacre Part 2. It serves as a teaser to the upcoming release later this year. PLOT: This segment opens mere minutes after Admiral Hanson was killed, as the Borg attempt to assimilate the various escape pods from ships destroyed in Part 1. CONCEPT: In Part 1, the focus was more on the ships fighting the Borg and less on the horror aspect of Wolf 359. While Part 2 definitely has action and ships fighting, I wanted to introduce a more horror slant compared to Part 1. In Part 2, we'll see specific character's terrifying final moments before they're assimilated. As well as more of Picard's turmoil as he attempts to fight in vein as the Locutus persona begins to consume him. TRIVIA: The shuttle rescue attempt was inspired directly by the episode "Best of Both Worlds" as Data and Worf's shuttle penetrates the Borg shield in order to rescue Captain Picard. I thought that was a great loop hole to allow the shuttles to actually have a fighting chance and do some actual damage to the cube (even if it is minor), and thus made them useful. I like to believe that it also represents the best in Starfleet, as these brave officers put their lives on the line (knowing the near impossible odds against them) in a valiant attempt to rescue the helpless from the Borg.
