1968 Jaguar E-Type Series 1.5 Convertible LHD at the Jaguar Classic Center Essen

This exceptional, early Series 1.5, 4.2 Litre E-Type OTS, was initially supplied to Jaguar Cars, New York, in March 1968 and fortunately for its future preservation, the car spent its early life in the dry state of Indiana. Finished in its factory paint scheme of Ascot Fawn with black leather, the car remains in nearly perfect, largely original condition, having covered less than 18,000 miles from new. The accompanying history file includes many rare items, including the original service book, which records scheduled visits at 3,000, 5,797 and 8,261 miles to Woodie Neils and Butler Imports in Indiana. On return from the US, the car resided for a large part of its recent life, in a collection in Jersey and has now been thoroughly recommissioned and prepared for sale by our Technicians at Classic Works. The Jaguar Land Rover Classic Centre in Essen Germany is the first facility of its kind outside the UK and is directly operated by Jaguar Land Rover Classic, providing factory service in Europe and Germany.
