We're Ana & Anton - Adventureholix and travel Vloggers! This time our adventures take us to the Khumbu Valley in Nepal! We will be trekking the route up to Gokyo with our friend Chhepal D. Sherpa, who will also be our local guide. Anton’s family has known Chhepal for over 10 years now and he has kindly invited us to visit him in his hometown of Kunde. We look forward to spending time with Chheppal, visiting his family and submersing ourselves in the local Himalayan life. Please subscribe to our YouTube channel to get the latest videos and follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates on our latest adventures. We invite you to share, comment, and like as much as you want! ________________________________________ Follow Us on Instagram / adventureholix Follow Us on Facebook / adventureholix Follow Us on Twitter / adventureholix Bookmark Our Website http://adventureholix.com ________________________________________ PACKING LIST FOR TREKKING NEPAL Head: • Sun hat or scarf • Light balaclava or warm fleece hat • Sunglasses with UV protection (preferably Category 4) Lower Body: • Merino Under Garments • Hiking shorts or leggings • War long hiking pants Feet: • Thick, warm wool hiking socks (at least 4 pairs) • Hiking boots • Walking shoes (for lodges and as a spare pair in case of emergency) Upper Body (3 or 4 layer clothing system): • Merino or synthetic shirts • Fleece jacket or pullover • Hard shell wind-stopper jacket • Down jacket Accessories: • Sleeping bag (rated to -20 DC if camping outdoors or -2 if planning to sleep in lodges) • Daypack (approximately 35-60ltr) • Duffle bag and smaller daypack if going with a porter • Water bottle or camel back (2 litres) • Hiking poles (optional depending on preference) • Camping microfiber towel • Blister kit • Sunscreen and lip balm • Toilet paper and wet wipes • Dollars in cash (for expenses and visa entry fee) Medicines • Chlorine Tablets for water purification (can be bought in Kathmandu) • Zolamide (tablets that help for acclimatization) • Dexamethasone (in case of high altitude sickness) • Broad spectrum anti-biotics • Imodium • Paracetamol Technology: • Point-and-shoot camera and/or DSLR (w/ multiple lenses) • Memory cards • Battery Chargers • Tripod • -High capacity power bank / battery pack (lodges charge high prices for using electricity and so it is advisable to have your own power source when on the move) • Multi port USB charger (again the lodges charge for using electricity by the hour and so it is important to maximise the money you spend on charging by connecting many devices into one USB charger) Optional: • GoPro & Gimble - for action shots and to stabilize footage while walking up the trails • Hard Drive and Computer – to off load footage from memory cards (not necessary if you don’t intend to take a lot of video) • Headphones for playing music and other entertainment on the plane ride and on the trails or lodge PACKING VIDEOS WE FOUND USEFUL: The World as a Playground • Nepal Three passes trek What to put in you...
