My name is Tiff and I'm a nurse (BSN, RN) who switched careers to nursing in my mid-30s - I would love to help you do the same! TODAY I'm yappin' about nursing school pre-requisites: what are the prereqs, how much they cost, and where to take them. We talk about community college, my cheapest AND my most expensive pre-req, how I dropped out of school, and how to save money when planning pre-reqs. I was NOT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE for nursing school: -I dropped out of nursing school and college altogether earlier in life -I came back to nursing school in my mid 30s (nontraditional student) -My undergraduate GPA was 3.2 -I had to retake ALL of my pre-requisites However, my nursing school valued my prior healthcare and business experience and took a chance on me. As a result: -I earned a 3.98 GPA in my BSN -I made study guides that were EASY to understand that helped my friends and my current mentees -I was elected my school's state representative for student nurses -I passed my Next Gen NCLEX in 1 hour with the minimum amount of questions (85) I want to share my journey with you - YOU can get into nursing school and thrive , too! My goal is to show non traditional students how to get into nursing school and excel in their program! COMMON PREREQUISITES: Anatomy and Physiology I, Anatomy and Physiology II, General Chemistry, Psychology (lifespan) OR World Religions OR Sociology, Statistics, Nutrition, English Composition, etc! Community college is great for nursing school prereqs and often cheaper!
