As the chariot stopped near Kansa’s palace, Krishna and Balram admired the beauty of Mathura. The citizens, sensing divinity, gathered in large numbers, worshipping them with love and devotion and serving them food. When Krishna respectfully asked the royal Rajuka (vastra officer) for clothes, he mocked and refused, leading Krishna to kill him and take the royal garments. Dressed like princes, Krishna and Balram moved through the city as people cheered. Krishna then blessed a hunchbacked woman, straightening her body instantly.
