Today our female patient underwent Dr. Jason Emer’s customized Silhouette InstaLift procedure in Beverly Hills, California. Dr. Emer placed InstaLift Facial Threads on this patient’s full midface and lower face to raise her cheeks and jawline to give her a tighter, more youthful look. First, markings are made on the skin to carefully plan out the areas to be lifted and the specific sites where the threads will be placed. You can see Dr. Emer meticulously measuring out where the vectors are going to be. Our patient began noticing some sagging in her face and wanted it more lifted. To achieve the best results, you can do one of two things: go the surgical route with a traditional facelift or you can go non-surgical with threads like these. Before doing the procedure, we're measuring out where we want to lift and for her we're going to go a little bit higher on the vector to give a nice curved lift. That's our goal for her today. For the lower face, we want to tighten her 90-degree angle and go along the jaw. The markings are done before numbing. They are the most important part of this treatment. If markings are not done right, a person can look asymmetrical. There are other types of threads Dr. Emer likes to use such as the PDO threads he likes to apply in the upper face. However, these InstaLift threads are softer and perfect for this patient's midface and lower face. It will give her a nice lift over the next 1-2 years. This procedure is something you do once or twice every year or two to prevent the sagging process. It is a great non-surgical alternative to a face lift. It can be combined with microneedling radiofrequency treatments such as Morpheus8, and other radiofrequency treatments such as Thermage and Ultherapy to keep yourself looking good as you age.
