Sweeping Pink Noise for Ten Hours - Ambient Noise Sound

The effected Pink Noise has an immersing quality and is calming in its meditative repetition. Other listeners say just sounds cool. It's an electronic spin-off of noise found in nature like waterfalls and ocean waves. When listening on headphones, the waves surround and take you away; and perhaps making the world seem a bit different upon return. The Creation Process The creation process involved a DAW (digital audio workstation), ProTools. A audio signal generator was utilized to create noise which is then equalized to represent the audio spectrum responses of pink noise as defined by the broadcast industry in the early-mid 20th Century. The audio is recorded from the generator for 10 hours. This audio has an equalizer inserted which is programmed with a mid-frequency boost and width of about 1/2 octave. This boost frequency was then programmed to shift over time with a reoccurring period around 120 seconds. The sound file was exported into a video editing program. A corresponding video was then created with custom animated graphics I made in the video program.
