The Twin Cam 88 is an excellent engine to build on, especially if your buddies are running off and leaving you on their Twin Cam 103's or Milwaukee 8's. You don't need a new bike, your Twin Cam 88 just needs a little shot in the arm and we're not talking just a bolt in cam. The go to upgrade has always been the 95 inch kit, but the 95 is a bit dated and there is a better option. The 98 inch kit the way to go, it's not too crazy and it can be directly bolted. You have a couple options with the 98, you can outright buy a kit with new cylinders or have your stock 88 cylinders bored out. Surprisingly a cylinder bore, with head porting and a aftermarket cam can cost a lot less than you might think.
