Peter Navarro, former director of the U.S. Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy, spoke at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Wednesday. Navarro was released from prison earlier Wednesday. He served four months after refusing to cooperate with a congressional investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. The third night of the convention was devoted to foreign policy and national security, as well as Sen. J.D. Vance’s formal acceptance of the vice presidential nomination. Former President Donald Trump named Vance as his running mate Monday. During the convention, delegates will adopt a party platform and Trump will address the convention Thursday.
