Bishop Burbidge's Homily for the Rite of Ordination to the Priesthood 2018

On Saturday, June 9, Bishop Michael F. Burbidge ordained three transitional deacons to the priesthood at the Cathedral of Saint Thomas More, in Arlington: Michael J. Folmar, 32; Nicholas J. Schierer, 32; and Christopher F. Tipton, 29. Bishop Burbidge was the main celebrant and homilist. In his homily, he speaks directly to our three new priests. Bishop Burbidge reminds our new priests that the time they spend with the Lord is perhaps the best gift they can give to the people they are called to serve. He also reminds them of Jesus' words spoken to them on the day of their ordination, saying: Remain in my love, and you will produce abundantly, and your joy will be complete.
