This is a playthrough using EX Mai Shiranui, EX King and EX Kyo Kusanagi in the Arcade version of The King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match. Read on below for more information... NOTE: MAX super gauge used. EX Mai, EX King and EX Kyo are alternative versions of their regular counterparts. They are all immediate hidden playable characters. ===== HOW TO SELECT THEM ===== On the character select screen, highlight either Mai, King or Kyo, hold Start and press any attack button to select the Alternate versions of them. You'll know it's them because when you press and hold Start, their icons change. ===== ABOUT EX MAI ===== This version of her is based on her Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 counterpart, and she uses her BGM theme from Real Bout Fatal Fury. She has two new special moves in which the original KOF98 EX Mai did not have. ===== ABOUT EX KING ===== This version of her is based on her Art of Fighting 2 counterpart. She uses her BGM theme from King of Fighters '95. EX King is a new alternate version of her that was not in the original KOF'98. ===== ABOUT EX KYO ===== This version of him is based on his King of Fighters '95 counterpart. He uses two BGM themes (one at a time of course) - the one from KOF95 and a new remixed version of his KOF94 theme. He has unique "attack hit" (when he hits the opponent) sound effects, which are the KOF95 ones! Some of his voices are also taken from KOF95. ===== OTHER INFORMATION / TRIVIA ===== ---- Obviously, they have different moves to their regular counterparts. ---- They have different images for their character select icons, Order portraits and lifebar icons to their regular counterparts. ===== ABOUT ARCADE KOF98UM ===== This is basically a remake of KOF'98 which features all the characters in the series from KOF94 to KOF97. As well as new artwork for the new (and some old) characters, it also has new/old stage backgrounds and new or extra music for certain events. The most "significant" feature is probably the addition of Goenitz and Orochi as possible final bosses.
