#actionfigures #windup #review What’s the difference between wind-up toys and action figures? In this video we’ll put them to the test. I’m showing toys from the movies Toy Story, Star Wars and Captain Marvel. All franchises are owned by Disney. Toy Story is a Disney media franchise started in 1995, with the release of the first movie, Toy Story. The movie was produced by Pixar and distributed by Walt Disney Productions. The concept of the movie is that the toys are anthropomorphic. I sometimes feel that my wind-up toys come alive like those in Toy Story. The Aliens, also known as Little Green Men (or "LGMs") are a series of green, three-eyed squeaky toy aliens. They appear in the first three films. This Remix Alien action figure is dressed as a marching band drummer/cymbalist/hornblower. ($8.99 shopdisney.com) The wind-up alien is dressed in his traditional garb. It walks when wound up. Captain Marvel is a 2019 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it’s Marvel Studios' first female-led superhero film. Fighter pilot Carol Danvers becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. Although the vast majority of Carol’s Binary powers have been lost, she still retains the ability to absorb energy and fire photonic blasts from her hands. This elaborate action figure has shooting fire, five different hand shapes, a regular head and a helmet head and her adopted cat, Chewie, an alien species that resembles felines from Earth. ($24.95 shopdisney.com) There are McDonald’s Happy Meal Captain Marvel figures, Funko Pops, and other dolls but I haven’t seen a wind-up toy version. I have many other wind-up toys from Marvel.
