Documented my November on Provia 100F. This was my first time shooting Provia, and my second time shooting slide film (the first time being with Ektachrome on 35mm). First impressions of Provia 100F: It's quite blue. These are the unedited scans that I got back from the lab, and when you compare the scans to the video footage, you can see that some images lean heavily towards having a blueish cast. I didn't think Provia would be this blue. I thought this was more of a characteristic of Ektachrome. It could also be because these images seem underexposed. I used a lightmeter app, but maybe it was inaccurate. As expected with slide film, contrasty scenes are difficult to capture. The blacks and shadowy areas are completely crushed. But I still want to keep practicing shooting slide film though. I really like the fine-grain and saturation. I think I'm enjoying Provia more that Portra. Let me know if there are any things that I should keep in mind when shooting slide film! I know that the dynamic range is very narrow, and that I should probably bracket, but I would love to hear if there are any other tips. Thanks for watching :) Instagram: / cmtuckerly
