Looking to take another step towards becoming a 2-time world champion, former 118-pound titlist Juan Carlos Payano stepped in to a 10-round bout with veteran Alexis Santiago in a PBC on FS1 main event to kick off Maywether-McGregor Fight Week in Las Vegas. Payano lived up to the "Baby Pacquiao" billing right from jump, too, by remaining active, changing levels and throwing all assortments of shots at Santiago over the course of 10 rounds. Santiago suffered cuts and bruising to the face early and often, but never backed down, making the fight ugly whenever he could on the inside. In the end, Payano's experience and activity was just too much for Santiago, who took his fifth career defeat.
