In this episode of PrintExp Explained, I walk through the Settings tab and explain what these options mean, what they do, and what I use as my baseline defaults. PrintExp is also known as Hosonsoft and DTF Station Pilot — and some settings/features can vary depending on your software version, printer firmware, and hardware configuration. In this video I cover: • Head settings (color heads vs white heads) • Print speed and why changing it can affect profiled color • Bidirectional vs one-direction printing (alignment vs speed tradeoff) • Pre-flash (prime/kickstart before printing) • Auto clean interval (why I changed mine and what it depends on) • Media / Margin settings (where printing starts on the film) • Confidence strip / Wetting bar (why you want it ON, strength/width/distance) • Print overlap / eclosion (and why it deserves its own deeper video) • Ink charge / Load ink (why it can be better than repeated cleanings) • Mirror print (where mirroring should happen: RIP vs PrintExp) • Carriage margin / Auto Jump White (how it can speed up prints) If you learned something new—or you think a setting works differently—drop it in the comments and let’s compare notes (include your software name + version if you can).
