How to Make a Tobacco Pipe | A Beginner is Making a Thing | Process Walk Through

For several weeks I was contemplating a plan to make a tobacco pipe. I do not smoke and do not want to promote anything like that, but I was so facinated by the potential process. While there are so many different way of making a pipe, I was specially looking on how to do it on a lathe. At least some parts on a lathe. So, I finally did enough Youtube-based research, created a model and engineering drawing (let me know if you would want to have a copy), and decided to do it. Ideally, pipes should be made from Briar wood and from a specific part (I think, best one is from a burl). But people also make them from other hardwoods and I happened to have a nice piece of spalted mahogany. In the video, I walk through all the steps of the process, as it, semi surprisingly to me, had quite a number of steps, and show a few problems I faced along the way. In the end, I was quite pleased with the result and actually made another pipe, which didn't have problems of the first one.
