Self proclaimed "Camden girl" Emma Hayes went back to her roots on Monday to look ahead to the USA's upcoming clash with England at Wembley Stadium, holding her pre-match press conference at Camden indie music venue 'The Underworld'. Hayes led Chelsea to seven Women's Super League titles and five FA Cups in her 12 years in charge of the West London club before leaving to take on the USA job in May. The move soon paid dividends, with the USA going on to win Olympic gold at the Paris Games shortly after their new coach's arrival, and Hayes is now targeting a Women's World Cup title. But for now the 48-year-old is looking forward to reuniting with friends and former players - including Chelsea captain Millie Bright - at her "second home" Wembley. 'The Stars and Stripes' have beaten 'The Lionesses' in 12 of their last 20 meetings, although England were 2-1 victors when the two nations last met in October 2022.
