Join me as I run the Ellara Riparian parkrun at Marsden Park, NSW — a lovely, flat course that follows the riparian corridor with relaxing water views. The volunteers were incredible, the track was well marked, and despite the map looking a bit complex, the run itself was simple and very enjoyable. In this video, I share everything you need to know before visiting — from course details to facilities and access. ⸻ 📍 Location Ellara Riparian Parkrun Marsden Park, NSW Set in the riparian zone with a mix of natural scenery, open space, and a friendly local community atmosphere. ⸻ 🏃‍♂️ Course Overview • Flat, easy, and beginner-friendly • Mostly concrete path • Runs alongside the riparian water catchment • Very clear signage and well-marked turns • Supportive volunteers at key points Perfect for a relaxed morning run or chasing a PB. ⸻ 🚗 How to Get There • Located in Marsden Park, close to Richmond Road • Easy to reach via the M7 or local roads • Punch in “Ellara Riparian Parkrun” or “Marsden Park parkrun” into Google Maps • Plenty of nearby street parking around the start area ⸻ 🚻 Facilities • Toilets: The nearest public toilets are located in the surrounding Marsden Park recreational areas (note: no toilets directly at the start line, so plan ahead) • Water: Water bubblers/taps available nearby within the general park precinct • Seating: Benches and grassy areas perfect for stretching or relaxing • Parking: Free street parking • Open spaces: Great for families or warm-ups ⸻ 🕗 Start Time Every Saturday at 8:00 AM (NSW time). Arrive a few minutes early for the First Timer’s Briefing. ⸻ 💬 My Experience A really lovely parkrun! Flat, fast, and scenic with amazing volunteers who made the event feel special.
