Experience Bournda National Park Family Camping Trip Mid-December 2023 Bournda National Park FAMILY CAMP - Wildlife, Rain, Fire Pit Cooking I often end up with beautiful shots that never get an audience. Here's a simply edited video with highlights from our family camping trip. Bournda National Park is located on the Sapphire Coast of Southern New South Whales, Australia. The only legal camp site is Hobart Beach Campground. See Parks website for further info - Fees and day passes apply. The bird-life is something really special - which you will hear in the video. Goannas (Lace Monitors) were plentiful. As were the Kangaroos, Wallabies, Echidnas, Ring-Tailed and Brush-Tailed Possums. The coastline is rugged and beautiful - take care out there! We found the mouth of the Bournda Lagoon to be great spot for the kids to splash around in calm water (not shown in video) - its a few mins drive from Hobart Beach then short walk from carpark. Wallagoot Lake (the still ocean lake shown in video) is 50m from the camp ground with walkthrough paths from camp sites. We found lots of large crabs relaxing near the banks of the lake.
