Maine GearShare is a nonprofit collaboratively designed by Maine trip leading organizations, schools, outdoor gear retailers and makers, and outdoor funders. Our mission is to promote equitable access to outdoor recreation through a mutually beneficial collaborative model of gear acquisition, maintenance and lending. This video follows one of our member organizations, the Ecology Learning Center, as they used our gear to outfit their students for an amazing outdoor orientation weekend. You'll also hear from board and staff members about what Maine GearShare means to them and how it all works.
