Wood Gears - part 3 In this video, I make my 2nd set of wood gears from 1/4" MDF. I'm using the same gear design which I originally drew using LibreCAD. The only change made to the CAD drawing was to thicken the outer lines. Just as with the 1st set of gears, I'm using a Bladerunner X2 to cut the MDF, I'm using a drill press to remove the material between the gear teeth, and this time, I'm using a mandrel with sandpaper taped on to sand the teeth. Overall, this 2nd set of gears came out nicer than the 1st set. They mesh smoother and have fewer binds.
