Get to Know The Ghetto Gardener

In my videos, you can see that I live in the country. So you might be wondering why I'm The Ghetto Gardener. I grew up in an area of Maryland that had a few gardens. I've lived on the Eastern Shore of Maryland for 10 years, but I've never had a garden. Once summer, I grew two tomato plants, but that was it. Eight months ago, I moved to the country. My mother-in-law had raised bed gardens, and I asked if we could plant gardens in them. As soon as the garden center had plants, she bought broccoli and lettuce plants, seed potatoes, onion sets, and carrot and pea seeds. I was hooked! I started a second, larger garden as soon as it warmed up. It's big enough to plant watermelon, cantaloupe, peppers, and tomatoes. I find gardening relaxing, and I enjoy working in them and watching everything grow.
